WHY WORKSTREAM PMA?

Performance Management Automation (PMA) is a highly secure, web-based workflow solution that facilitates personal and company objectives setting to obtain alignment across your entire organization.

• PMA supports management and staff by aligning and integrating performance goals and measurement criteria up, down and across every job in the organization through “cascading objectives.” All your staff will know what the organization is striving for – their direct objectives will be aligned with the company objectives.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• PMA offers an automated performance evaluation process that utilizes Personal Performance Objectives (PPO) and Core Competencies.
• The CEO establishes a primary goal for the company along with a timetable for performance targets. The PMA then prompts each direct report of the CEO (and then the next level down) to set their personal objectives. Each employee’s objective is in-line with his/her superiors so that a pyramid of aligned objectives is established. Objectives are evaluated at set periods throughout the cycle – you can see real performance against the plan.
• Each employee also selects the core competencies that they will develop over the evaluation period (typically one year). Core competencies ensure balanced skills development for each employee. The PMA contains a large database of competencies, selectable by type of job function.
• PMA can calculate both salary merit increases and incentive plan calculations and can link this to your existing compensation structure. It also provides an analysis to discover any performance-contribution problems or unintended but de facto patterns of discrimination.

WORKSTREAM PMA FEATURES

The Workstream PMA includes the following features:

• For each employee – a personal ‘home’ page that shows their personal performance objectives and core competencies plan, current performance against plans, feedback from all-round.
• Each employee also sees the complete ‘cascade’ of aligned objectives – up and down the reporting tree.
  An optional calculator that can show employees how their performance can translate into bonus payouts or salary increases. This can be enabled or disabled at the company’s discretion. Incumbents can see cash pay-outs based on performance and skills.
• Compensation structure analysis – An HR analysis tool that can chart and display compensation structure, display ‘outliers’ and highlight discrepancies.
• Complete budgetary analysis – Allows HR and senior managers to calculate how much the company can afford to pay out in compensation and bonuses, and set up goals accordingly.
• Also includes an online help with a searchable database of tips & how-to’s at your fingertips.
